Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata is hoping for an Inter move, but his current club do not want to lose him this summer.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that La Dei still consider the Colombian to be an important part of the project and would only part with him should they bring in a replacement.

Zapata is one of the main targets in the Nerazzurri’s search for a striker following the departure of Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea, and he has already agreed terms with the club on a possible move.

The club are hopeful that the player’s intention will be enough to convince Atalanta to move forward on a deal, and are willing to pay €30 million plus add-ons for him as it stands.

However, the Bergamo-based club are holding firm and intend to keep him in their squad, although should they identify the right replacement then they could become receptive to a sale.
