English club Everton are interested in signing Inter target Joaquin Correa from Lazio, but the player prefers a move to the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Argentine is the top target for Inter head coach Simone Inzgahi, but that the Nerazzurri have not yet moved for him and could face competition from the Premier League.

Inter’s search for a striker is in full swing, and despite signals that Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata is a primary target, Inzaghi remains hopeful that the club will bring in Correa from his former club.

The 26-year-old wants a move away from Lazio and has made his preference for Inter clear, but so far is not close to a move to the Giuseppe Meazza and is waiting for the Nerazzurri to seriously make a move.

In the meantime Everton could swoop for him should Inter not act fast, with the Toffees definite admirers of Correa.
