Atletico Madrid could be close to signing Inter target Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, and the Nerazzurri look set to miss out on him.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Spanish giants look to have convinced the Tuscan club to move forward with a deal for the Serbian centre-forward.

Vlahovic emerged as a target for the Nerazzurri as the club sought to bring in a striker to replace Romelu Lukaku, but it not looks as though they will be beaten to his signature and that they would likely not be able to make a financially significant offer.

Talks have been ongoing between the player’s entourage and clubs in England as well, but it is the Colchoneros who agent Darko Ristic has progressed furthest with in talks, and the Spanish champions appear to have convinced La Viola as well.

Atletico have put forward an offer worth €70 million including add-ons, and it looks as though Fiorentina could accept it soon, according to the report.
