Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst has been offered to Inter, but also to other Italian clubs, with the player’s entourage sounding out interest in signing the Dutchman.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have been contacted by the 29-year-old’s entourage and that the striker’s current club would consider selling him, but that they could face competition from other clubs in Serie A.

Some of the clubs offered the striker have showed interest in bringing him in, while others have immediately declined the possibility.

Weghorst has two years to run on his current deal with Wolfsburg, and the German club would consider selling him this summer when they could monetize his sale to the fullest extent rather than when his contract is closer to expiring, should he not choose to renew.

The player would like to join the Italian champions, and the Nerazzurri are considering him as a possibility, but for now the contacts regarding the player are only exploratory, and the process of potentially signing him has not advanced very far.
