Inter are trying to close in on the signing of Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata, and have set a target of 24-48 hours to get the deal for him over the line.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper la Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri are trying to complete the Colombian’s signing with a €30 million offer plus €5-6 million in add-ons, but that La Dei still want €40 million and want the money up-front as a fixed amount.

Zapata remains a major target for the Nerazzurri in their hunt for a striker following the departure of Romelu Lukaku, and there is total agreement between the club and the player on terms, but Atalanta remain to be convinced.

The 30-year-old’s agent is pushing Atalanta to allow him to leave and the Nerazzurri are stepping up their pursuit to get his signing wrapped up very soon, but it still remains to be seen if the Bergamo-based club will accept an offer.
