Inter will meet with Lautaro Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano tomorrow with the hopes of progressing talks on a contract extension for the Argentine.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping to accelerate the negotiation process and make sure that the 23-year-old is secure at the club amid heavy interest from Tottenham.

Tottenham are thought to have made Martinez a major summer target, and could make a major push for him, and the Nerazzurri will want to commit him to the club in the face of this interest.

The club will hold talks with Camano to the end of making major progress on a new deal which would ensure that the interest of Spurs or any other interested club is warded off this summer.

Martinez’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and it is thought to be the will of the player to reach an agreement on a new deal, though this would be pending the outcome of the talks tomorrow.
