Inter have had their first offer for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on a paid loan declined.

This according to Spanish news outlet Defensa Central, who report that the Nerazzurri have put forward an offer of €3 million as a loan fee for the 23-year-old, but that the Merengues are currently only interested in selling him on a permanent basis.

Jovic is a target for Inter in their search for a striker during this transfer window, with the player out of favour at the Bernabeu and the Nerazzurri believing that he is an attainable target on loan.

However, they have been rebuffed in their approach, and it remains to be seen if they can persuade the Spanish giants to let him leave on their terms before the end of the window or if this will end their interest in him.

Real are still listening to offers for the Serb on a permanent basis, but currently no offers have come close to meeting their valuation for him.
