Atalanta are not ready to let Inter sign striker Duvan Zapata for a bargain fee, and have placed a valuation of €50 million on the Colombian in talks with the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri want to sign the 30-year-old but that his current club are not relenting in their financial demands.

La Dei do not want to let Zapata go before they have identified a replacement for him, and they are making this clear to Inter through their asking price, with €50 million including add-ons far more steep than the Nerazzurri would consider.

It remains to be seen whether the Bergamo-based club will come down from this amount, but the Nerazzurri will know that only limited time remains before the transfer window closes, and they will have to hope that La Dei do not dig in their heels on this amount, which would almost certainly make a sale untenable.
