Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata is intent on a move to Inter, and his agents are hard at work trying to convince his current club to allow him to make the switch.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported live on air moments ago that the Colombian has an agreement in principle with the Nerazurri and his hoping that La Dei can be convinced to accept their offer.

Zapata is Inter’s top target in their search for a striker before the end of the transfer window, and they have agreed terms on a deal worth about €3.5 million net per season with the 30-year-old.

They have yet to agree on a fee with Atalanta, however, with the Nerazzurri having offered €30 million plus €4-5 million in bonuses, not yet enough to convince them.

La Dei are waiting to find a replacement before they would consider selling the Colombian, with Lille’s Jonathan Ikone and Torino’s Andrea Belotti among the players linked to take his place, but no arrivals close yet.

Now that the Colombian’s agents are in Italy they are trying to convince Atalanta to accept an offer from Inter and make the move happen.

For the moment, Zapata is the preferred attacking target of the Nerazzurri, and they are putting all other possibilities on standby, according to the report.
