Inter are hoping that they can agree a deal for Lazio’s Joaquin Correa for under the Biancocelesti’s €40 million valuation, with the capital club knowing they need to complete a sale of the Argentine.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Lazio President Claudio Lotito is aware of the liquidity issues at his club that mean they must complete a major sale before other signings can be made.

Correa is a major target for Inter as they search for one more attacking reinforcement this summer, with the 26-year-old the preferred target of manager Simone Inzaghi, and the player amenable to a reunion with his former boss.

So far the Biancocelesti have not relented in their financial demands for the striker, but the Nerazzurri are anticipating that they could cooperate more in quickly reaching an agreement as the end of the transfer window draws nearer.
