Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata’s agents are expected in Italy very soon to meet with his current club and try to convince them to allow him to leave and join Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Colombian wants the transfer to the Nerazzurri but that La Dei are reluctant to sell him before finding a replacement.

Zapata is one of Inter’s main targets in their search for a striker following the departure of Romelu Lukaku, and the player is amenable to making the move this summer.

The Nerazzurri could have some work to do convincing his current club to sell before the end of the transfer window, however, with the Bergamo-based side not having identified a replacement and hoping to hold onto him.

They will hope that the talks between Atalanta executives and the Colombian’s agents have a positive outcome and that they can accelerate the process of signing him very soon.
