Inter are serious about signing Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach, and would like to transform him into a centre-forward.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on his show moments ago that the Nerazzurri are actively working to bring in the Frenchman.

Thuram plays as a winger for his current club, but the Nerazzurri see him as a serious possibility to be played as a central striker or as a second striker.

The report adds that Thuram is now one of Inter’s main targets as they look to bring in one more striker following the departure of Romelu Lukaku and the signing of Edin Dzeko.

The club is doing everything they can to bring the 24-year-old in, and it will be up to his agent Mino Raiola to find Gladbach’s asking price and to try and make a deal with the Bundesliga club feasible.

Thuram could be an even more tempting target for the Nerazzurri should Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata prove unattainable, with La Dea still maintaining that the Colombian is not for sale and unlikely to soften their stance at least until they find a replacement for him.

Meanwhile, Lazio’s Joaquin Correa remains a target in Inter’s search, with head coach Simone Inzaghi particularly wanting a reunion with the Argentine.

The club are in constant contact with Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci, though it remains to be seen if this will come of anything.

As of now, all three players are considered serious targets and one of the trio will be brought in before the end of the transfer window, but it is still not known whom.
