Inter defender Milan Skriniar is expected to agree on a contract extension with the Nerazzurri in September.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Slovak wants to stay on at the club and is ready to pen a new deal, with his current one set to run out at the end of June 2023.

Skriniar has become an important player at Inter since joining from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017, making 167 appearances in all competitions for the club, and he has rejected serious advances from La Liga and the Premier League to stay.

The 26-year-old centre-back wants to continue his time at Inter, and is set to renew his contract to secure his future at the Giuseppe Meazza for seasons to come.

Skriniar formed part of the Nerazzurri’s formidable defensive trio last season alongside Alessandro Bastoni, and Stefan de Vrij, and could continue to play a vital role for the club.
