Young Inter goalkeeper Brazao has suffered a sprain to his knee in training, and could be ruled out for some time as he recovers from the injury.

This is confirmed by the club who announce on their official site that the Brazilian underwent an MRI scan which determined that an injury he suffered in training is to the ACL in his right knee.

The 20-year-old will undergo surgery to treat the injury in the next few days, and it will remain until the outcome of the operation to be seen how long the injury will keep him out for.

The young goalkeeper had returned this summer from loan spells in the Spanish second division with the likes of Real Oviedo and Albacete, and had been training with the first team.

The immediate future had not yet been decided for the young keeper, but it now looks as though he will miss a significant portion of the upcoming season as he recovers from this knee injury.
