Inter want Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on loan, but his current club are not inclined to let him leave on loan and would prefer to sell him on a permanent basis.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Serb is a target for the Nerazzurri, but only if they can bring him in on loan.

Jovic is out of favour in the Spanish capital and could push from an exit from his current club, with Inter among the most viable destinations for him, and he has emerged on their list of attacking targets.

However, the Merengues are not currently interested in allowing him to leave on loan initially, the Nerazzurri’s preferred formula for signing him.

It is possible that a late push could be made that would see the player brought in towards the end of the window, but for now it looks unlikely that the Nerazzurri will come to an agreement with Real on a transfer for the player.
