Inter have not given up on signing Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nadnez this summer, and will push for his arrival after they complete the signing of a forward.

This according to Italian news outlet la Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri will make one more push for the Uruguayan before the end of the transfer window.

Inter had reportedly been close to an agreement for a transfer for Nandez, having been pushing hard for the 25-year-old in the past weeks, but talks with his club are now stalled.

However, they will return to negotiations with the Rossoblu once they bring in a striker, and hope that the Sardinian side will soften their stance on the formula of a paid loan with a purchase option, the Nerazzurri’s preferred deal.

For now the priority is wrapping up the signing of one more attacking reinforcement, with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram currently the favourite ahead of the likes of Duvan Zapata and Angel Correa, but when this business has been concluded Nandez will come next.
