Inter could sign Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne this summer even if they are to also bring in Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air moments ago that the Nerazzurri will still move for Insigne towards the end of the window even after they wrap up another forward signing.

Inter are stepping up their pursuit of Thuram, with the 24-year-old now looking like the priority target in their search for an attacking reinforcement.

The Nerazzurri are hoping that they can bring the Frenchman in from Gladbach for around €25 million, and should they do so then there will still be money in their budget to sign Insigne, according to the report.

The report states that with Alexis Sanchez’s injury problems making him unreliable for the upcoming season, the club would like to bring in the Napoli winger to complete their attack even after signing Thuram.

The Partenopei are currently asking more than Inter will put forward for Insigne in this event, but with the 30-year-old out of contract with the club next summer and extension talks stalled, they could be moved to accept an offer before the end of the window.

Napoli are still hoping that they can agree on a new contract with their captain, but should they prove unable to then the Nerazzurri will believe that they can swoop for him before the transfer window shuts.
