Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has clarified his demands as he looks to negotiate a contract extension with the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Argentine is seeking a signing bonus as part of the financial request as the club and the player look to iron out a deal.

Martinez believes that a new contract should have already arrived a year ago, and on this basis is asking for a bonus from the club as part of the final agreement on a new deal.

Additionally, the player wants a four-year deal, while the club are hoping to come to an agreement on a five-year arrangement, and it remains to be seen which would ultimately be settled on should he sign a new contract.

The 23-year-old and his agent are reported to have asked for €7 million net per season, rising to almost €8 million with add-ons, while the Nerazzurri could come up to €6 million as the fixed amount before add-ons, from their initial €5.5 million offer.

It remains to be seen if the two parties can ultimately finalize the financial details on a new contract, though right now the will is to work out a deal.
