Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti is set for a loan move to newly promoted Serie A side Empoli, and the deal will be completed after the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match against Genoa.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 22-year-old will remain in the Nerazzurri’s squad for the club’s Serie A opener tomorrow but that he will be loaned out next week.

Pinamonti has been expected to depart from the Giuseppe Meazza for much of the summer, with the player having been out of favour under Antonio Conte, and not in the plans of Conte’s replacement as coach Simone Inzaghi.

Empoli have been tracking him for some weeks and have looked like the club in pole position to secure his signature, and they should finally complete a deal for him after this weekend.

Pinamonti will join the Tuscan side on loan as they look to strengthen their attack in their bid to retain their top flight status.
