Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is determined to remain at the club for one more season, and has turned down an offer from MLS club Inter Miami.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Chilean is not interested in the advances of the US club as he still believes that there is more left for him to prove in Italy, and in the Champions League in particular.

Inter Miami have a firm interest in the Chilean midfielder, but he has made clear that he will not accept an offer to play in the MLS.

The 34-year-old is disappointed with how his last campaign with the Nerazzurri went, with the midfielder feeling in particular that he did not make a good contribution in the Champions League where the club exited in the group stage.

The player will hope that he can get past the injury setbacks that affected him in the second half of last season to show his best in Serie A and also have a run at the Champions League, a competition which he has not yet won during his time in Europe.

Manager Simone Inzaghi could still call on the Chilean, with the Italian tactician thought to have been impressed with his hard work in training, and with Roberto Gagliardini already set to miss a few weeks at the start of the season through injury Vidal could still have a role as a midfield option during a long season competing on multiple fronts.
