Everton are interested in signing Inter target Joaquin Correa from Lazio, though the player still prefers an Inter move.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Argentine is likely to be sold by his current club who need to make a major sale before the end of the transfer window and that the Toffees could move ahead of Inter in the race for him.

Correa is a target for the Nerazzurri in their search for one more attacker, and the player would like a reunion with Simone Inzaghi at the Giuseppe Meazza, but the club have not yet moved decisively for him and could prioritize other targets.

Should a move to Inter not materialize, then Everton could be the club who win the race for his signature, with the English side closely monitoring him and hoping to bring him in before the window closes.

Lazio are unlikely to turn down a major offer for Correa as they need the transfer revenue from his sale to fund further business this summer, but the offer could come from Everton rather than from Inter.
