Inter have made the prompt resolution of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic’s contract situation a priority and will look to agree a new deal after the transfer window closes.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the club will look to begin talks with the 28-year-old at the end of the summer.
Brozovic is a vital player at the Giuseppe Meazza, and with his current deal set to run out at the end of June 2022, the club have made extending the Croatian’s contract an imminent priority.
The player is happy in Milan and wants to come to an agreement with the club, but work is still to be done on finding the agreement, with the player set to receive a wage increase from the net €3.5 million which he currently earns.
Inter will want to move quickly with renewal talks, with the need to secure the player’s future crucial given his importance to the team and with the possibility of major European clubs moving in for him.
