Inter winger Ivan Perisic will leave the club on a free transfer next summer unless he agrees to lower his wages.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Croatian will stay on for the next season but will not be offered a new deal on his current salary.

Perisic currently earns a net of €5 million per season, and given that he turns 33 during the season the club do not see it as economically feasible to offer him a new deal on his current deal at that point.

For this reason, it looks likely that he will depart from the club when his contract expires, unless he is willing to agree terms on a new deal that would see him earn less.

The Nerazzurri would still consider continuing on with the Croatian at reduced terms rather than losing him as a free agent, but will accept his loss next summer rather than continuing on with him on the same terms as his current deal.
