Lazio are holding firm on their valuation for Inter target Joaquin Correa, and the Nerazzurri could look elsewhere in their search for a forward.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Biancocelesti want €37 million rising to €40 million with add-ons for the Argentine.

Correa is still a strong consideration for the Nerazzurri as they aim to bring in a forward before the transfer window closes, but they have yet to convince his current club to come down on their asking price.

The Biancocelesti could also be reluctant to facilitate the negotiations for the player on Inter’s terms after losing head coach Simone Inzaghi to the Nerazzurri earlier in the summer.

As it stands, the Nerazzurri are ramping up their pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram in particular, and they could end their interest in Correa completely should Lazio continue to maintain their stance on his price tag.
