Lazio striker Joaquin Correa is determined to make a move to Inter this summer, and has turned down a move to Everton.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported in a tweet that the Argentine has rejected the chance to join the English side as he still hopes to make the switch to the Nerazzurri.

Correa is still considered a target for the Nerazzurri and the club are working to bring him in, though he is not the only player they are pursuing in their search for a striker, with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram also a possibility.

Everton are also chasing the 26-year-old’s signature, but signing him could prove difficult for them as long as the possibility of joining Inter is on the table.

The Nerazzurri could have the decisive advantage over the Toffees in the chase for Correa’s signature as they are the player’s preference, but it remains to be seen if they will get a deal for him over the line.

Pedulla’s tweet reads: “#Correa, today meets with Inter. Let’s see. #Everton have found an agreement, but today he wants #Inter. #Thuram remains a strong target, but today the scenario can change. €30 million.”
