Inter have announced the squad numbers ahead of the Serie A season starting tomorrow, with the numbers for new signings and loan returnees revealed.

This is confirmed on the Nerazzurri’s official site, where the numbers of recent arrivals Denzel Dumfries and Edin Dzeko are announced, alongside those of Hakan Calhanoglu and other summer incomings.

Dumfries comes in as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi following the Moroccan’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain, while Dzeko was signed to take the place of Romelu Lukaku in the squad after the Belgian departed for Chelsea.

The pair have both been assigned the squad numbers of the players who they are intended to replace in the team, with the club handing them the Number Two and Number Nine shirts respectively.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu takes the Number Twenty shirt as expected, new third-choice goalkeeper Alex Cordaz will wear Number 21, and Federico Dimarco has been given Number 21 following his return from a loan spell with Hellas Verona.
