Inter look to be close to bringing in Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach, with the process well underway to complete the 24-year-old’s signing in a deal worth around €30 million.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that Thuram wants to leave his current club and that Gladbach are resigned to letting him leave, with only the fee left to be ironed out.

Thuram has emerged as a target in Inter’s search for an attacker in the last few days, but the club have wasted no time and are acting fast to get a deal for the Frenchman wrapped up.

The Nerazzurri have raised their offer to €30 million from the €25 million that they put forward yesterday, and with Gladbach accepting that they will not be able to keep Thuram they look set to accept the offer once final details are worked out with add-ons.

Thuram is in pole position to be the next attacking signing at the Giuseppe Meazza after Edin Dzeko, with the report explaining that the Nerazzurri have given up on signing Duvan Zapata from Atalanta.

In conclusion Pedulla reports Marcus Thuram is now far ahead of Lazio’s Joaquin Correa in their consideration.
