Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti may not get the move that he wants this summer as it has emerged that Empoli could make a move for Mattia Destro instead of him, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Genoa striker has been left out of the Rossoblu’s official squad to face Inter this evening and it is not believed to be related to an injury.
The veteran is being heavily linked now with a move to newly-promoted Empoli who have already confirmed the loan signing of ex-AC Milan striker Patrick Cutrone.
It is unlikely that the club would sign Patrick Cutrone, Mattia Destro, and Andrea Pinamonti all in one window.
Andrea Pinamonti is expected to leave Inter as soon as the Nerazzurri manage to sign a new quality option up front such as Marcus Thuram or Joaquin Correa for depth.
