Inter have not ruled making a late attempt to sign Lorenzo Insigne from Napoli towards the end of the summer transfer window, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, a move for the Neapolitan forward has not been completely ruled out. He is still a more unlikely target than most to be Inter’s final signing of the window to add more depth to the attack.

After the signing of Edin Dzeko who is expected to start for Inter today against Genoa, the Nerazzurri want one more signing to make sure they do not get left short by the potential departure of Andrea Pinamonti.

Marcus Thuram is still looking like the most likely player with Duvan Zapata now off the table and Joaquin Correa not progressing well in negotiations.

The Frenchman has already decided he would like to join Inter but talks need to happen between the clubs.
