Two of Inter’s players have been hit with fines by Lega Serie A for their conduct towards opposition players during the friendly against Parma recently, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FcINternews today, Arturo Vidal and Lucien Agoume were the two players who were fined by the authorities. The two midfielders were both fined €2,ooo each for incorrect behaviour towards opponents.

It is not just Inter who have been hit with fines during pre-season despite the games not being as competitive as normal. Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini received a €10,000 fine for his criticism of referee Rosario Abisso during La Dea’s 3-1 friendly defeat to Juventus recently.

Fines of €2,000 are unlikely to modify the behaviour of wealthy individuals but it shows the authorities are taking on-pitch conduct very seriously regardless of how serious the game in question is.

Neither player is expected to start for Inter against Genoa.
