Inter’s Hakan Calhanoglu After Debut Win: “I Want To Give My All For The Team And The Fans”

New Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has spoken with pride after his wonderful performance on his Inter debut against Genoa, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN moments after the Nerazzurri’s opening Serie A fixture ended, the Turkish midfielder explained how happy is to see that the Inter fans have already accepted him as one of their own even though he joined from AC Milan.

“We worked well for today, we are we started very strong and we won. I thank all the fans because they already support me, I want to give my best for Inter, thank you for those who wanted me here.”

Hakan Calhonglu was instrumental in Inter’s impressive 4-0 win over Genoa at San Siro. He assisted Milan Skriniar for the first goal and scored the second goal with a vicious shot into the bottom corner from range.

The Turkish midfielder put his successful performance down to the quality of the individuals he si now playing with at Inter, such as Edin Dzeko and Nicolo Barella.

“It’s easy to play with teammates who have quality, you already know their movements and today we played a great game, we want to continue like this.”

It has taken some adjustment on the training pitch but Hakan Calhanoglu believes he is able to play the role that Simone Inzaghi wants from him.

“I also worked well to be ready in the role that Inzaghi wants from me, he also expects the goals, I want to give my all for the team and the fans.”
