Serie A side Empoli are now facing a race against time to secure the signing of Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti because Hellas Verona has also announced its interest in signing the youngster, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, a call between Empoli representatives and Inter is expected to take place today as they look to finally strike a financial agreement for the player that Inter are happy to let leave the club.

Empoli have been linked with Andrea Pinamonti for a number of weeks now but have not been able to get the deal over the line.

Now, they are facing pressure from Hellas Verona who are looking for a player of Andrea Pinamonti’s profile as well. The Gialloblu attempted to sign Sam Lammers from Atalanta but it was clear that that wasn’t going to happen.

The 22-year-old would likely be open to either move.
