Hakan Calhanoglu’s impressive Inter debut against Genoa saw him match an achievement that was last done by now AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, by both assisting a goal and scoring one on his debut for Inter on Saturday evening, Hakan Calhanoglu became the first player to do that for the Nerazzurri since Zlatan Ibrahimovic did it against Fiorentina on his debut back in 2006.

What makes the statistic even more ironic is that Hakan Calhanoglu signed for Inter from AC Milan this summer, which is where Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently plays his football.

It was the perfect start to his time at Inter for the Turkish midfielder as he played in the corner that Milan Skriniar headed in to make it 1-0, and then scored an excellent goal from the edge of the box to make it 2-0 inside 15 minutes.
