New signing Hakan Calhanoglu was the stand out performer for the Nerazzurri against Genoa as the media ratings come in, according to a report in the Italian media today.

In ratings given by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turkish midfielder was voted the MVP with an overall rating of 7.5 out of 10. This is because he set up the opening Inter goal and then scored the second from distance.

The newspaper pointed out that it is almost unimaginable for a player to move from AC Milan to Inter and then receive a standing ovation in their first game at San Siro but that is exactly what Hakan Calhanoglu managed to do after being dangerous throughout the game.

Milan Skriniar scored the first goal of the game to get Inter going and he also received a 7.5 out of 10 rating. Edin Dzeko and Arturo Vidal, the two other goalscorers both received 7 out of 10 for their efforts.
