Inter executives are readying themselves to make another assault on Lazio to try and secure the services of Joaquin Correa to help bolster their attacking options, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by the Roman daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Inter have already had one official bid turned down by Lazio as it did not meet the financial marker that president Claudio Lotito has set out.

That initial bid was a €5 million loan fee with a €25 million redemption fee after one year. That is quite far away from what Claudio Lotito would like to receive for the Argentine though. He wants €40 million including the bonuses.

Lazio’s sporting director, Igli Tare, confirmed to the press after the Biancocelesti’s game against Empoli on Saturday night that Inter is a possible destination for Joaquin Correa.

The forward was sat in the stands for the 3-1 win.
