Inter seem poised to step up their pursuit of Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa who Simone Inzaghi would love to be reunited with, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by the online version of Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri are going to come back to Lazio with an improved bid in the coming days to make sure they give their new manager enough depth and quality in attack.

A previous bid had been made to Lazio that included a €5 million loan fee and then a €25 million redemption fee at the end of the first season. Lazio President Claudio Lotito is only interested in selling him right now for a bigger fee.

It is thought that it would take €40 million including bonuses for Lazio to allow the Argentine forward to leave the club for Inter.

The injury to Marcus Thuram has likely ruled him out of a move to Inter, hence the acceleration for Joaquin Correa.
