Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez seems to have made peace with the fact he will not be joining Inter this summer and apologised to the club for temporarily going on strike, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FcINternews, the very difficult situation that Cagliari and Nahitan Nandez found themselves in has now been resolved with the player apologising to the president of the club and putting the situation in the past.

He is expected to be in the Cagliari squad to face Spezia on Monday for the Sardinian side’s first game of the new Serie A campaign.

The Uruguayan had looked destined to join Inter earlier in the window but the move broke down for financial reasons. He temporarily refused to train with the squad but has since apologised for this and been bought back into the fold.

Whether Inter will make a new approach remains to be seen.
