Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne is still being seriously considered by Inter as the transfer window draws to a close but he is almost certainly a last resort, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by the Roman daily newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, the Neapolitan forward is not completely out of the picture when it comes to Inter’s final signing of the summer transfer window.

The Napoli player began to be linked with the Nerazzurri just over a week ago as he is out of contract with the Azzurri and does not appear willing to sign a new deal with the terms his club have suggested.

He would cost around the €25-30 million mark but Inter are very aware that they could sign him for free next summer if they agree a contract with him soon enough.

Joaquin Correa is the likely new signing but a last-minute attempt for Lorenzo Insigne is not impossible.
