The referee in charge of Inter’s match against Genoa on Saturday night made a few minor errors but performed well overall, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, who decided to analyse the performance of the referee after the game, the minor mistakes were around could by both sets of players, but all of the key decisions in the game were called correctly.

In terms of what the officials got wrong, it is pointed out that Genoa’s Goran Pandev made serious contact with the face of Nicolo Barella and was then tripped by Marcelo Brozovic, but only the second transgression was given as a foul.

They also underline that another foul by Marcelo Brozovic was waved away when it was a clear foul on Hernani.

Correct decisions were made in relation to the two offsides from Ivan Perisic and the possibility of foul by Milan Skriniar before the opening goal.
