Ex-AC Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini has suggested that there is two teams that are much more likely to win the Scudetto this season than any others, according to a report in the Italian media.
Whilst speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Demetrio Albertini stated that Juventus and Inter are ahead of the competition when it comes to teams chances of winning the 2021/22 Serie A season.
“It will be an uncertain championship. Juventus and Inter are slightly ahead, but everything is possible.”
Demetrio Albertini also suggested that his former team, AC Milan would have to really overachieve like they did last season in order to lift the trophy when May 2022 comes around.
“To win, AC Milan will have to repeat an extraordinary season.”
Demetrio Albertini made 293 appearances in the AC Milan midfield at the beginning of his career before he moved on to play for teams like Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Lazio.
He is now the sporting director at Parma who were relegated to Serie B last season after a bitterly disappointing campaign with some very heavy defeats.
