Inter are considering Torino captain Andrea Belotti as a possible target in their search for a striker before the end of the window should they not be able to sign Joaquin Correa from Lazio.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Granata could sell the 27-year-old before the transfer window shuts as he is out of contract next summer and has so far failed to agree a new deal.

The Nerazzurri are accelerating their pursuit of one more forward to reinforce their attack following the departure of Romelu Lukaku and arrival of Edin Dzeko, with one more week left before the summer transfer window closes.

Borrussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram’s knee injury could rule him out as a target while an agreement has yet to be found with the Bianconeri over Correa, who is thought to be their top target.

Should no attacking reinforcement have been brought in before the end of the window, the Nerazzurri could quickly swoop for Belotti, whose current club would likely be amenable to letting him go for the right offer given his contract situation.
