Inter are working hard to complete the signing of Joaquin Correa, but should they not be able to agree on a deal for the Argentine before the transfer window closes they will look to either Gianluca Scamacca or Lorenzo Insigne as a Plan B.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri are considering their backup plan in case their plans to sign Correa fall through.

Correa is the number one option at this stage for Inter, and the club are ready to put forward an offer worth €30 million for the Argentine, approaching Lazio’s asking price of €35-40 million.

Should they prove unable to bring him in, however, they could look to Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne, out of contract with the Partenopei next season and likely to be for sale for the right offer.

Sassuolo’s Scamacca could be another option, though in his case the Nerazzurri would face competition from the likes of Fiorentina and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The aim for Inter is to wrap up the signing of Correa in the next 24-48 hours, and should this prove impossible they could turn to a Plan B.
