Inter could still sign Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne before the end of the summer transfer window, and are waiting to see whether the player’s situation at his current club becomes more tense.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are looking to bring the 30-year-old in in January, but could move for him earlier should his relationship further break down with the Partenopei.

Insigne is out of contract at his club next summer, and talks have fully broken down on an extension of his current deal, with the Nerazzurri monitoring his situation and ready to move for him.

The current plan is to wait until the winter when he is closer to an exit, but should his relationship with his club deteriorate over the contract issue, a swoop for the player before the transfer window shuts cannot be ruled out by Inter.
