An Italian journalist has heaped praise upon Simone Inzaghi and his players after their incredible start to the season where they beat Genoa 4-0 without breaking a sweat, according to a report in the Italian media.

Writing in his column for Corriere della Sera, Mario Sconcerti explained how much he enjoyed watching Inter under Simone Inzaghi on Saturday evening as they sent out a message to the rest of the division who may have thought the Nerazzurri would be a lot weaker this season.

“The Inter of Inzaghi and Dzeko is beautiful, led by Calhanoglu who after months resumes a performance as a small champion.”

Mario Sconcerti was quick to point out though that people should not get too over excited about this Inter performance and what it may mean for the season because the opponent was one of the weakest in the division.

“The only doubt is what Genoa really is, very fragile, suspended between the old and the new. , a little understandable team and immediately overwhelmed.”

Without wanting to make too much of a direct comparison, Mario Sconcerti suggested that this Inter team under Simone Inzaghi may be more fun to watch than they were under Antonio Conte.

“Simone Inzaghi is always good at balancing teams. I do not dare and the comparisons would not be interesting, but this is a lighter and more fun Inter. We’ll see if they get the same results.”
