Inter target Joaquin Correa has turned down a move to Premier League club Everton and is holding out for a move to the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Tempo, who report that the Argentine rejected a proposal from the Toffees for a contract worth a net of €5 million per season and only wants Inter.

Correa is expected to leave his current club Everton this summer, and Everton consider him a major target, and have put forward an offer with significantly higher salary terms than the €3.5 million net per season offered by Inter.

However, the player’s preference is to make the switch to the Nerazzurri where he would link up with former head coach Simone Inzaghi, and he has made clear to his current club that his desire is to move to the Giuseppe Meazza.

The Nerazzurri have yet to agree a deal with the Biancocelesti, though the capital club could feel pressured by the player’s desire to allow him to make the switch before the transfer window shuts.
