Roberto Gagliardini and Alexis Sanchez are expected to make their returns from injury for Inter sometime soon after the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the pair will be ruled out of Friday’s Serie A clash with Verona but that they can likely return after the break in September.

Sanchez has been dealing with a persistent calf problem which ruled him out of much of the Copa America with Chile over the summer, and he still has not recovered in time to be available for selection at the beginning of the Serie A season.

Gagliardini, meanwhile, is recovering from a knee sprain which he picked up while in training a few months ago.

Both players still have some time to go before they are fully recovered and ready to return to the pitch, but both are expected after the international break.
