Inter have made Torino captain Andrea Belotti their Plan B option in the event that they are unable to sign Joaquin Correa from Lazio before the transfer window closes.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could quickly move for Belotti who would be made a backup to Edin Dzeko should he arrive.

Talks between Inter and Lazio over Correa are in the advanced stages, but there is still some distance on the fee involved andshould an agreement not be found with the Biancocelesti they will move quickly to sign Belotti instead.

The 27-year-old would arrive with a different technical profile from Correa, backing up Dzeko in the centre-forward role rather than as a second striker in the same vein as Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez.

No agreement has been found with the player yet, although given that he is out of contract with the Granata next summer and has not yet agreed on an extension, he could be quickly convinced.
