Inter have set a deadline for talks with Lazio over the signing of Joaquin Correa to be wrapped up, expecting that the deal will be completed by Friday.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping to complete the Argentine’s signing before the Serie A clash with Hellas Verona at the end of the week.
Correa is now the priority target in Inter’s search for one more attacker before the transfer window closes, with Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram having been ruled out after he suffered a knee injury over the weekend.
Lazio, meanwhile, will want to complete the sale of the 26-year-old as soon as possible, as they need the fee from a deal for him to get on with the rest of the summer transfer business.
Less than a week remains of the transfer window, and Inter will hope that they can find a total agreement with the Biancocelesti very soon so they can prepare for the rest of the season.
