Inter are close to completing the signing of Lazio striker Joaquin Correa, with the Biancocelesti having dropped their asking price and the clubs essentially in agreement on the fee.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Biancocelesti are ready to part with the Argentine for €31 million and that the clubs are accelerating towards the finish line on the deal, pending the Nerazzurri’s response to their new asking price.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio held a telephone meeting with the 26-year-old’s agent Alessandro Lucci this afternoon where they looked to get closer to the final agreement and their response to Lazio’s current demand is awaited.

The Nerazzurri have been looking to get the signing of Correa wrapped up in the next day or two with the end of the transfer window looming and the Serie A season underway, and it looks as though they could soon have total agreement on the deal.
