Inter are still considering making a late push for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, but they could lose out on him to Hellas Verona where he would be guaranteed a starting place.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that the 22-year-old’s priority for next season is playing time, and that for reason he could be set to choose Verona over the Nerazzurri.

The Nerazzurri are still mulling over the possibility of signing one more forward following the arrivals of Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa.

This after Alexis Sanchez’s injury problems mean that he is not seen as dependable by the club, who could look to complete their attack with another signing before the end of the transfer window.

Scamacca is on their radar and they have had contacts with his agent, but at the moment they would face competition for his signature.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in the Neroverdi striker over the summer, but it looks to be Verona who are offering him the guarantee of regular playing time, and for this reason they could be the club to win the chase for him.
